Sandy Paws is a privately run, out of home rescue operation located in Roundup, Montana. Most of the Schipperkes available here have either been released to us by former owners or saved from a shelter situation. We work tirelessly to help with the numerous abandoned, unwanted schips looking for new humans. We try to guarantee that dog the best new forever home possible and the new owners a healthy, happy and well adjusted dog. We have had many satisfied customers (both four legged and two legged) -- references available upon request!

We are now proud to offer via this website the opportunity for you to view other Schipperkes in need from all over the U.S. Not only can you see the adorable little foster furbabies here in Montana but you can also take a gander at Schipperkes that might be in your area! A POEM TO MY FOSTER DOG

I am the bridge
Between what was and what can be.
I am the pathway to a new life.

I am made of mush,
Because my heart melted when I saw you,
Matted and sore, limping, depressed,
Lonely, unwanted, afraid to love.

For one little time you are mine.
I will feed you with my own hand,
I will love you with my whole heart,
I will make you whole.

I am made of steel.
Because when the time comes,
When you are well, and sleek,
When your eyes shine,
And your tail wags with joy
Then comes the hard part.
I will let you go--not without a tear,
