Here he is in all his glory! The latest addition to the Oleo Ranch, our rescue Schipperke, Wiley! He was brought in off the streets as a stray to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society in Helena (see links below). Assisting with Schipperke Rescue within the state, we got the call that they had this little guy and would we come and get him. Well, now ain't that just the silliest question? OF COURSE! So, off we went, thinking to ourselves that since we have (4) dogs already, we would bring him home, give him some time for adjustment then place him in a new home. O.K., you can all quit laughing now! Especially you folks who know Warren and I! As you guessed, it was love at first sight and after a week of debating (who were we kidding?), we lovingly brought him into the fold here at the Oleo Ranch. What a wonderful decision that was! Wiley is an absolute delight to be around -- animated, happy, loving and a character! Dig that profile! He has this cowlic on the end of his nose which makes his hair stand on end -- this gives his nose the illusion of being larger at the tip. My brother, seeing this, commented that he looked like Wile E. Coyote and the name stuck! *smile*

It was so very hard to get pictures of this guy because he is always on the move! Here is Wiley giving us that Schip "grin" and look at his tail . . . .it makes me giggle! There is something special about a rescue dog -- it is like they realize that they have been given a second chance at life and they seem so appreciative. Wiley loves every ounce of attention you can lavish on him and we even catch him staring up at us with complete adoration in his eyes! What a wonderful gift that is! Wiley has the jumping ability of a cat. Don't ever leave the chairs pulled out from the table as we have caught him up there licking our plates! He also loves his new brother, Super Kody, and is bonding well with all of his "big" buddies too (including the horses). We are so very glad that he came into our lives -- we love ya Wiley E. Schipperke!

He wants to stress to all of you how important it is to give homes to the poor unfortunate pets out there who no longer have a home, a family or love. There can be a happy ending for these critters; Wiley wants to point out that he is a prime example!
