- A fenced in area will be provided to exercise your dog(s) off leash but when doing this, your dog(s) must be supervised. When not in the designated fenced area, your pet must be on a leash at all times.
- We would prefer that non-schips over 25 lbs. be kept separate from the general population of Schipperkes. This is for the safety of everyone involved (small dog and big dog alike). Tie out stakes or x-pens would work well to accomplish this task.
- It is strongly recommended and appreciated by your hosts if you could bring at least one kennel. Just in case a dog becomes aggressive or a quiet resting place is needed.
- Please pick up after your dog (waste) or if you see your neighbors dog leaving a deposit and they don't notice, help out and pick it up. There will be pooper scoopers and waste receptacles strategically placed about the property to make disposal easy and convenient.
- Please keep those "human" children under supervision also. There are just too many things around the ranch that might be a risk to a child.
- The Oleo Ranch horses will be on the premises, confined to a small area. Please feel free to visit and pet them but for your safety, please do not enter the enclosure or feed them any treats. Also, due to serious liability constraints, there will be no riding of the horses.
- We respectfully request that all dogs are up to date on all vaccines and are pronounced fit and healthy by a veterinarian before arriving here. There will be too many dogs gathered here to take any chances!
- When feeding your dog(s), please feed in a kennel, x-pen or some confined area (with supervision). We all know how protective our little beasts can be when it comes to food.
- Along this same line, no feeding off plates while other dogs are around.
- There will be NO alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed on the property.
- Due to the fact that we live in a very arid region, fire danger is a REAL concern. Due to this fact, no campfires will be allowed on the premises. Depending upon the amount of rain we have received at that time, we may have a bonfire Saturday night but it will be supervised and a burning permit will be acquired by your hosts.
- Cigarette smoking is allowed but only in the SRY2K staging area and the ranch yard. There will be NO smoking on any of the surrounding property due to fire concerns. There will be cans placed around for disposal of cigarette butts and we hope you utilize these. Not only for the sake of fire but also to keep them away from our dogs.
- For those of you camping on the property, please be sure to pick up after yourselves. An area will be provided where you can dump your tightly closed garbage bags. Please police your area and help us keep the ranch clean and looking like is should! (o:
