Super Kody's 1st Birthday

We are pleased to announce that Super Kody celebrated his very first birthday on June 15, 1998. When our super hero was told that we were compiling this page in honor of him, he asked if HE could do the narration so we figured, why not? Here is his rendition of this very special day!

"Aw man, I don't know what is going on today. Mom keeps hugging the stuffin's out of me and now she just plopped me on the dining room chair. I KNOW I'm not supposed to be up here and look at what's on the table! My favorite, raw elk steak! Is this a set-up or something? I want that steak so bad but I know eating off the table is naughty! What do I do? I'll just look at my Mom imploringly and hope that works! She keeps saying it is O.K. -- that it is my birthday? What the heck is that? All I know is that steak smells delicious and I can't have it. MOM, HELP ME!"

"Ahhhh, sweet success! She finally caught on that I am truly a good dog and put the plate on the floor! Yummy, yummy! Lick, lick, snuffle, grunt, groan . . . . ."

"Sheez, how cruel! Here I sit back up on the dining room chair AGAIN and now they have stuck my ALL TIME favorite in front of me -- a toasted bagel with peanut butter. This is so unfair -- I am licking my chops just thinking about it! Mmmmmmm . . .it smells so good! What the heck is that thing sticking out of it and why are they all singing?"

"Now Mom is trying to entice me and she stuck a big glob of peanut butter in my mouth. Man, it sure tastes good but hmpf grbf lolmf. I could be here all day! Lick, lick, lick . . . . I don't care what anyone says, I AM a good boy so Mom is just going to have to put this on the floor too!"

"Whadda ya mean it's all gone? All the treats AND all the presents? I don't know what this birthday thing is but I do believe I want to have one EVERY day. Of course, Dad says that every day is a SCHIP day! What does he know?"
